Gemma lives in the Midlands, England, with her husband and two boys. Always interested in art and design, she began her career illustrating children's books in an art studio in Coleorton, Leicestershire. It wasn't until she had her first child that she decided to start writing, and she launched a series of picture books of her own that she both wrote and illustrated whilst dreaming of one day breaking into adult literature. Fast forward a few years and the itch of writing a novel finally got scratched. 'The Storm' was Gemma's debut novel and is classic whodunnit, with a modern twist, set in the beautiful Lake District. Gemma's second novel, The Inheritance, has since been published and there are plenty more in the pipeline to come. The ideas notebook is always brimming!
